The offset inlet and outlet of the rotary valve ensures that blockages can be to a large extent avoided during throughput of bulk material up to 80 mm. An automatic cleaning of the chambers is not possible, which is why the throughput materials should not have a tendency to cake.
Since the material hardly comes into contact with the housing, the wear due to the tangential gating of the inlet and outlet is significantly reduced.
The drive consists of a geared motor with constant or adjustable speed, and a flexible coupling. The rotary valve is sectioned into 8 chambers. Expanding seal strips made of wear-resistant material are affixed at the ends of the rotary blades.
